You have reached Pete and Sandie Hancock's collection of letters, pictures, and stories describing their travels and life with the family and in their retirement. The collection is not complete, as there was no conscious effort to save over thirty years' worth of letters. We were just lucky that by the time we tidied up for retirement we realized that those old letters and rolls of negatives had some value. The letters' technology ranges from pen and ink in the 1970s through early personal computers in the 80s to the multimedia systems of the 90s and beyond. Similarly, the pictures range from fuzzy little Kodak Instamatics to enormous digitals. In a few cases, I intend to add old pictures to old letters, and even reconstruct missing vacation letters from the pictures. I have corrected typing and scanning errors and, where useful, added some factual corrections and explanatory text, [shown in italics].

Our website is a work-in-progress and probably always will be as long as we are traveling and adding new stories and experiences. The early versions of the website will have a lot of blank spaces, but we hope to fill these in quickly as we get better at automating the filling of the blanks.
