Saturday November 23rd
It was a cool and still morning. John and I managed to get the pool and hot tub clean this time but the ladies weren’t keen to use the tub.

We went out that afternoon to Jumping Creek on the Yarra River. We’d tried to go there in 2015 but the park had been closed because of the fire risk. This time it was open and we set off walking a trail along the river.

There were few birds in sight but enough flowers to keep Sandie happy. The trail turned out to be more hilly and rougher than expected so that we were relieved when we came to a blockage of the trail and had an excuse to turn around.

The next day we were setting off for a trip to the Grampian Mountains. The plan was to visit the national park and then come back along the Great Ocean Road. John and Edna had once stayed in a good motel near the park in Stawell, so I booked us in there for two nights.
