2022/09 Great Bear Rainforest - Klemtu's Big House |

After dinner we had all been invited to visit the Big House . This is the place for 
festivals and ceremonies and feasts. The building was about 20 years old, and well decorated. Justin told us about his people’s history and their stories. He rambled quite a bit but it was still entertaining. His style reminded me of my Uncle Noel telling stories to kids.
He went on a little too long though. 
It had been a long day and I was having to work hard at not being the guy that fell off the mountain and his chair on the same day.
Getting back to the lodge in the dark was tricky. There were some enormous potholes and little street lighting.
The picture of the artwork on the Big House’s back wall was taken the following day as we came back from our day trip.
