Sandie and I wandered down to the harbour area in the afternoon, mainly so that she could check out the wool
shop. In the evening, Stewart took us all out to the building site. This is on the opposite side of Port Alberni, on the way out to Sproat Lake. After a couple of months of blasting and bulldozing they had a rock driveway winding up the mountain, a flat mountain top, and a beautiful view from there to Mount Arrowsmith and surrounding mountains. However, at that time it looked more like a rock quarry than a home site.
