We drove to Charleston, left the Suburban in a parking lot, and drove into the city with the 
camper. As the camper is only slightly larger than our Suburban it’s quite practical to drive through the city streets. We ended up parking on the promenade.
Charleston does not have the usual seaside ticky tacky. Instead there are beautiful mansions and gardens, as well as Civil War memorials. The prom gives a great view of the harbour across to Fort Sumner Island, where the Civil War 
started. The harbour has a large population of brown pelicans and cormorants. The pelicans were diving vertically into the sea for fish.
That evening we drove back to Columbia to camp again at Sesquicentennial park, so that we could take the camper in early for repairs.
Monday 26th April
There were no arguments next morning when we returned the camper to Provan, and they started work on our list of problems. Everything was fixed by mid-afternoon, except for the noise. Apparently Hernden Chevy, the dealer that supplied the chassis to Provan, had noticed it before delivery, but the noise had disappeared while they were diagnosing it. We elected to take it back there, and got a note from them confirming the existing noise, in case it turned into a real problem and needed warranty work.
