2004/04 Boston and South Carolina trip - Hamilton |

We were heading for Lake Ontario and looking for any easy way around Toronto’s traffic. We found the 407, which turned to be an electronic tollway. As we obviously don’t have the necessary transponder, we’re still expecting to get a bill for our few miles of usage.
We’d planned to have lunch at a nearby provincial park on Lake Ontario but we never found it, and we settled for a city park instead. Sandie was disgusted to find that the toilets were locked up. We were both happy to find a little stream surrounded by masses of blue flowers.

All the family made us feel very welcome, and we felt guilty about zooming in for just an evening. We haven’t yet learnt how to go slowly on these trips.

We were intending to leave early in the morning, and we were helped by their cat, who opened our bedroom door at 5 am!
